The best time for gorilla trekking is during the two dry seasons: from June to August and December to February. However, gorilla trekking can be done year-round, and the rainy seasons (March-May and September-November) offer advantages like fewer tourists and lush vegetation.
Yes, a yellow fever vaccination is required for entry into Uganda. We also recommend vaccinations for hepatitis A and B, typhoid, and routine vaccines. Malaria prophylaxis is strongly advised. Our team will provide detailed health recommendations based on your specific itinerary.
For peak seasons (June-October and December-February), we recommend booking at least 6-9 months in advance, especially for gorilla permits which have limited availability. For other times, 3-6 months is generally sufficient. Last-minute bookings are sometimes possible but may limit accommodation choices.
Our safari packages typically include accommodation, meals, park fees, activities mentioned in the itinerary, transportation in 4x4 vehicles, services of a professional guide, and drinking water. International flights, visas, travel insurance, personal expenses, and tips are usually not included unless specified.
Absolutely. We work closely with all our accommodation partners to ensure dietary needs are met, whether you're vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or have other requirements. Please inform us of any dietary restrictions when booking so we can make the necessary arrangements.
